Terminate Policy

 

You need permission “Terminate policy” to do this.

You can terminate policy that is Active / Expired / Terminated / Pending Termination.

To terminate the policy, click on Terminate button. It will show Termination popup.

On Termination popup, you need to provide:

 

  1. Effective from: is the termination date, can select any date between policy start date and end date.

  2. Reason: select reason why policy should be terminated.

  3. New Premium with Recalculate button: you need to click Recalculate button to get the final premium of the policy for its actual effective period (which is from policy start date to termination date).

  4. Check/Uncheck box: Send termination email for this policy. If it doesn’t request to send termination email to client, uncheck the option. It is allowable to select any policy termination email template available to client once the box is checked as following screenshot:

  5. If you agree, click Terminate button to proceed.

  6. If you select the termination date in the past or today, the policy will be terminated immediately and its status is changed to “Terminated”.

  7. If you select the termination date in the future, the policy will be terminated on future date and its status is changed to “Pending Termination”.

For Terminated policy, you can:

  1. Only view policy details

  2. Download policy documents

  3. Terminate policy again

For Pending Termination policy, you can:

  1. Adjust policy

  2. Activate policy

  3. Renew policy

  4. Terminate policy again

You can terminate a policy in entirety by selecting Policy start date as Effective from.
